China News Service, March 26. The 2024 Annual Meeting of the China Development Forum will be held on March 24-25, 2024. The "Artificial Intelligence Development and Governance Symposium" was held on the afternoon of March 24. Bob Stenfels, global president of McKinsey & Company, said in his speech in the "Panel Discussion One" session: Artificial intelligence technology can accelerate change and requires We improve our skills.

Bob Stenfels made four points about the application of generative artificial intelligence.

First, there is huge potential to be tapped.

McKinsey has studied 63 major fields of artificial intelligence technology, and the future scale can reach 2.6 trillion to 3.4 trillion US dollars. Four fields, including manufacturing, marketing, software engineering, and R&D, will account for about 70% of the total scale.

Second, scaling is a huge challenge.

Artificial intelligence technology can accelerate change and requires us to improve our skills.

Third, for enterprises, it is necessary to re-change the model of organizational structure,

including changing the standards for evaluating talents, shortening strategy implementation time and talent reserve time, and focusing on customers and developing their own technical talents.

Fourth, we must balance opportunities and risks, especially comprehensively assess risks and create a risk management framework.

On this basis, in order to better apply artificial intelligence, Bob Stenfels raised four questions: First, has your company integrated artificial intelligence into its development roadmap? Second, is there a corresponding talent strategy that matches the development strategy? Third, have we taken too radical measures? Fourth, are risks and opportunities considered at the same level?
