China News Service, March 26. The 2024 Annual Meeting of the China Development Forum will be held on March 24-25, 2024. On the afternoon of March 25, the "Digital Empowerment Industrial Transformation Seminar" was held. Danfoss President and CEO Fang Xingjian expressed in his speech in the "Panel Discussion II" session that he hopes that China's digital development will not be based on speed, but should be based on achieving sustainable development.

In Fang Xingjian's view, industrial transformation based on digital technology is taking place, and will eventually form interconnections among market entities, making the production process more transparent, more efficient, and smarter. Digital technology will help enterprises achieve low-carbon and sustainable development, which has become a consensus in the industry. Digital technology is the cornerstone of Danfoss' low-carbon development and high-quality growth. For enterprises, using digitalization to achieve green transformation is a process of connection and win-win cooperation with other entities. Different entities must cooperate more closely to achieve the set goals. From Danfoss’ own practical observation, digital technology has brought a higher quality of development to itself. Digital technology can make the company’s manufacturing process smarter and more efficient. On the contrary, if the company does not actively deploy digitalization, its future competitiveness will be reduced. It will reduce and affect employee morale.

In terms of data center layout and construction scale, China is already at the forefront of the world. Fang Xingjian made suggestions in this regard - he hopes that China's digital development should not be based on speed, but should be based on achieving sustainable development. This is because the energy consumption of operating data centers is very large. China needs to explore a technical path to reduce water and electricity consumption to achieve sustainable development of the digital economy. These techniques include using as little energy as possible during data center operations. At the same time, enterprises should be encouraged to integrate operating systems and recycle resources.
