Late that night, Ji Krypton issued a statement stating that the incident resulted in injuries to five spectators and damage to vehicles at adjacent booths. It has been confirmed that none of the five injured spectators are life-threatening. Three of them have been discharged from the hospital after being found to be fine. The other two with minor injuries are still in the hospital for further examination.

Why do accidents like this happen at car shows?
According to Jikrypton's explanation, a self-inspection confirmed that due to errors in the management of the exhibitors' vehicles, the exhibition car did not turn on the exhibition car mode as required, and was in the parking comfort mode and the car key was within the valid range of use.
The reporter noticed that unlike traditional fuel vehicles, many new energy vehicles do not need to turn the key or press the start button to start. They only need to place the key in the central control sensing area and then step on the brake to directly shift into gear and start. There was no obvious sound or vibration afterwards.
In addition, due to technical reasons and other reasons, new energy vehicles generally accelerate faster than fuel vehicles at the same price. According to Yan Bing, senior partner of Times Jiuhe Law Firm, this accident occurred at an auto show in Nanjing and was not a public transportation environment, so it was not a traffic accident and should therefore be classified as a general tort incident.
In terms of division of responsibilities, Yan Bing believes that the organizer of the Nanjing Auto Show or an exhibition for commercial purposes is an operator in the legal sense and should bear operator responsibilities. At the same time, the driver (or custody obligor) of the vehicle involved shall bear tort liability corresponding to his fault.
"After this incident, the police have not issued a statement that this case is suspected of a criminal offense.
