The demands of the independence movement, the fear of a Qatari quota and the possible breakdown of the Tax Agency has triggered "nervousness" among an important part of the Treasury inspectors. "Our colleagues who are in

Catalonia have conveyed to us their nervousness and concern

about how it would be done," the Inspectors' association itself denounces.

"There is uncertainty and skepticism,

they do not know what is going to happen to their future

," Teresa Benito, vice president of this association, denounced this Monday during the press conference in which the Inspectors presented the consequences of the fiscal independence of Catalonia.

The Tax Agency has about 5,000 workers in Catalonia, and its future would not be at all in the event that the Government grants some or all of the tax privileges required by the Generalitat. And, in any case, the fact that this fear exists among the inspectors indicates that they

fear progress down that path
