American semiconductor giant Nvidia has announced a new semiconductor for AI.

It is said that it will be able to improve the learning and response performance of generative AI, whose use is rapidly expanding worldwide, and development competition in this field is likely to become even more intense.

This was announced by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang on the 18th at an event for developers held near the company's headquarters in the western state of California.

According to the report, the company plans to introduce a new product that will improve the learning and answering performance of generative AI regarding the ``GPU'', which is a semiconductor that processes images and can process large amounts of calculations simultaneously.

It is expected to be introduced by Amazon, Google, Microsoft, etc., and will be available from the second half of this year.

The company claims it can be up to 30 times more capable of taking questions and generating answers, and 25 times more energy efficient than its previous products.

In his speech at the event, CEO Huang said, ``A revolution in generative AI is occurring. It is a new industrial revolution,'' emphasizing that the development of AI will bring unprecedented changes to society.

The use of semiconductors for AI is rapidly expanding around the world, and the development competition for generative AI is likely to become even more intense as NVIDIA introduces the latest semiconductors.
