This has put forward new demands for scientific research services of Southern Breeding, and the Smart Southern Breeding CRO comprehensive service platform came into being.

Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City will be the first in the country to launch the exploration and industry cultivation of the seed industry CRO model in 2021. With reference to the pharmaceutical CRO model, it will carry out "defining concepts, developing plans, building systems, building platforms, promoting sharing, establishing alliances, and compiling standards" " and other series of work, we are the first in the country to cultivate a seed industry CRO format that can cover all aspects of breeding technical services.

The Yazhou District Agricultural Big Data Platform, the Nanfan Shared Land Service Platform, the Scientific and Agricultural Service Platform and the Scientific Research Instrument Reservation and Sharing Platform have been successively built to facilitate laboratory scientific research and field breeding and seed production of Nanfan units.

  According to reports, the smart Nanfan CRO comprehensive service platform provides Nanfan units with "one-stop" online purchase and appointment CRO service functions such as land selection, labor services, agricultural machinery, inspection and testing, instruments and equipment, etc., through the integration of Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City The existing carrier connects the Nanfan service resources in Sanya, Ledong and Lingshui and displays them online, realizing the aggregation, platform and unification of Nanfan service information resources.

  Peng Guihua, head of the R&D Department of Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Administration, said that the seed industry CRO model can more effectively revitalize existing advanced breeding technology resources, significantly reduce the entry threshold for seed industry experts and small and medium-sized seed industry enterprises, and activate different innovative entities. The vitality will help to quickly expand the breeding industry and improve the efficiency of R&D and production of new and good varieties.

  At present, Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City has gathered more than 50 CRO service entities of various types of seed industry, 11 of which have been recognized as Hainan Province Nanfan Seed Industry CRO Organization (15 in the province), forming a highland for the development of Hainan Province Seed Industry CRO .

Peng Guihua said that in the next step, the seed industry CRO model will focus on promoting the research and development of advanced breeding technology and service standardization.
