The recall is being expanded: Frozen food manufacturer Ardo is recalling frozen spinach nationwide that was sold at Rewe, Edeka and Netto because of possible metal shavings in individual packaging.

Specifically, it concerns the following products:

  • »REWE Best Choice, Young Spinach Chopped«, 450 grams (best before date 12/2025 and 01/2026)

  • »EDEKA chopped young spinach«, 450 grams, frozen (best before date 12/2025)

  • »Netto Marken-Discount Best Harvest Young Spinach Chopped«, 450 g, frozen (best before date 12/2025 and 01/2026).

The company had already recalled a frozen spinach at the beginning of March, namely:

  • »REWE Best Choice, Young Spinach Chopped«, 450 grams (best before date January 2026)

It cannot be ruled out that there are metal shavings in individual packaging of these products, according to the company's statement.

Consumption is not recommended.

Even without presenting a receipt, consumers can return frozen spinach to supermarkets.

The purchase price will be refunded.
