Murielle Paradon

Last night, Mohamed al-Sharif heard shooting and shelling, but they were so regular that he didn't pay attention to them, he said.

This resident of northern Gaza lives very close to where the aid is distributed.

“

Every day,

” he describes,

“people gather around the Kuwait crossroads, which is not far from the Israeli roadblock installed since the start of the war.

Israeli planes and tanks bombed these innocent civilians who are gathering massively for one reason: they need help, flour.

»

Personally, I was almost targeted because I traveled to several places to obtain this aid.

Press reviewIn the news: Israel denies targeting food distribution in Gaza

“

Frankly, when you go to markets where there are street sellers,”

continues our interlocutor, “

you don’t find anything to eat, neither for lunch nor for dinner.

Even milk for children, you can't find it.

It's very difficult to find anything.

We came to eat wild plants.

Mohamed al-Sharif also tried to buy food parcels dropped by air from those who collected them and resold them.

Without success, he specifies.

There are too many people in need.
