According to him, it is “uncharacteristic and unacceptable” for Donbass to be in a subsidized state.

“And of course, we simply internally will not allow ourselves to linger somewhere in such a state.

Therefore, now, while the hostilities are not yet over, we are making our plans, not just for five years after the victory, but for decades,” Pushilin noted.

He noted that right now the economic foundation is being laid, which will develop in the future.

“Characteristic and traditional for us are the coal industry, metallurgy, chemical industry, and mechanical engineering.

So, we will now focus on mechanical engineering, on machine tools, on those enterprises that provide high added value.

On the one hand, this is clear to us, because there are competencies, there are corresponding educational institutions where we can and will train specialists.

But there is also a demand within the country.

Because there are changed external conditions,” the head of the DPR emphasized.

Pushilin recalled that in recent years, Russian trade chains have been restructured and Russia has reoriented itself to other markets.

“That is, a reorientation of Russia as a whole more towards the East.

And of course, there is the formation of relationships within economic... relationships within the BRICS countries.

We focus on this too.

Well, first of all, of course, the main ones in terms of the structure of the economy, that is, probably the most global ones will also remain for us, are the coal and metallurgy industries as a whole,” he added.

Earlier, Pushilin, during a conversation with RT, stated the need to clear Avdievka before restoration.
