The Japan Business Federation (Keidanren) has announced a personnel plan to appoint four people, including Sony Group Chairman Kenichiro Yoshida, as new vice chairman.

The personnel plan was announced by Keidanren Chairman Tokura at a press conference on the 11th.

If a former Sony employee is appointed as vice chairman, he will be the first since Nobuyuki Idei, who served for four years from 2003.



In addition, Jun Ota, who served as vice chairman and was president of Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, passed away in November last year, and Takashima, chairman of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, will take over from within the same group.



The new vice president is expected to be officially appointed after the regular general meeting at the end of May, and Keidanren Chairman Tokura will be supported by 20 vice presidents.
