China News Service, Yiwu, March 8 (Dong Yixin, Chen Jianxian) Yiwu’s water resources account for only 0.86% of Zhejiang Province’s, and its per capita water resources are only one-fifth of the national average.

How can a city that is “short of water” allow local water-consuming companies to develop with peace of mind?

Quality-based water supply across the region has become the only way for local high-quality development - on the premise of ensuring that industrial enterprises do not compete with the people for water, recycled water provides "water capital" for enterprise production.

In the past few days, the production workshop of Yiwu JA Solar Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "JA Solar") has been busy. The ultrapure water system is in a "full blood" state to help the company get off to a good start in the first quarter.

JA Solar is the largest user of the city’s Choujiang Industrial Water Plant.

In order to save high-quality water resources and improve water resource utilization, the company actively uses recycled water for production water. Through a digital system, it filters the return water from the water plant in accordance with photovoltaic water standards, effectively alleviating water pressure.

"For solar energy companies, water resources are one of the important production factors. In 2023, we will use more than 3 million tons of recycled water, and the replacement rate of high-quality tap water will reach 80% to 90%, saving nearly 4 million yuan in water bills." Fan Zhenwei, director of JA Solar Water System, said that quality-separated water supply not only enables enterprises to obtain tangible benefits, but also effectively fulfills social responsibilities.

In Yiwu, there are many companies like JA Solar that implement differentiated water supply.

The city has invested 20 million yuan in recent years to transform 64 high-water-consuming enterprises such as Huachuan and Langsha, including Huachuan and Langsha, into water-saving facilities. It has built 70 sets of reclaimed water reuse equipment, achieving full coverage of enterprise reclaimed water reuse facilities. , annual water saving reaches 10 million tons.

In 2023, Yiwu will replace 20 million tons of high-quality water.

In addition to investing real money in hardware improvements, Yiwu has also "significantly discounted" the price of water by quality.

Data shows that Yiwu currently has four reclaimed water supply plants, all of which adopt the "ultrafiltration + reverse osmosis" double-membrane treatment process, with a quality-separated water supply capacity of 120,000 tons per day.

In order to better promote quality-separated water supply across the region, increase the utilization rate of quality-separated water, and save more high-quality drinking water resources, the local water affairs department has formulated a "Credit +" quality-separated water price incentive policy to target residents and enterprises who use quality-separated water. Provide a tiered water price discount plan on a regular basis, with residents enjoying a discount of up to 50%, and companies with good credit enjoying a discount of up to 12%.

Taking the Fourth Branch of Yiwu International Trade City as an example, the company's credit score allows companies to enjoy a 10% discount on the price of quality water of 2.1 yuan per ton, that is, the price of quality water is only 1.89 yuan per ton.

Compared with the price of tap water of 3.6 yuan per ton, the "Credit +" quality water price incentive policy allows the company to save 340,000 yuan in water bills a year, and its investment in double-pipe reconstruction can be recovered in less than 5 years. cost.

"In the next step, we will continue to do a good job in the classified management of water resources, promote the rational use of quality water by existing enterprises, implement the priority use of quality water by new enterprises, establish different systems such as reward and punishment systems and consultation mechanisms, and encourage enterprises in various industries Rational use of differentiated water to improve water resource utilization." said the relevant person in charge of Yiwu Water Affairs Bureau.
