RIA Novosti reports this.

“Assets of the Russian state and organizations close to it frozen as part of sanctions must be able to be paid to Ukraine as reparations,” the statement said.

It is clarified that the Council of Cantons adopted, by 21 votes against 19 with 3 abstentions, a series of similar proposals from the National Council.

Earlier, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said that freezing sovereign Russian assets is an ill-calculated step on the part of Western countries and decisions to seize these assets, if adopted, will cause great damage to Western companies.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed that Russia intends to act individually in each specific case of confiscation of its frozen assets by Western countries.
