The CAC40 index opened at 7925.41 points that day and rose steadily during the session. It broke through the 8000 point mark during the afternoon trading session. It then continued to rise slightly, once reaching 8029.37 points, and finally closed at 8016.22 points. Compared with the previous trading day, the increase was 0.77%.

This is the first time the CAC40 index has exceeded 8,000 points.

At the end of February, the CAC40 index once rose to 7977.68 points, close to 8000 points, but then fell back.

According to relevant data, compared with October last year, the CAC40 index has increased by 18%.

The top five stocks in the CAC40 index on the 7th were: the world's leading semiconductor company France-Italy Semiconductor's stock price rose 3.5%, Capgemini Management Consulting's stock price rose 2.16%, Crédit Agricole's stock price rose 2.11%, and BNP Paribas' stock price rose 1.96%, and the share price of French luxury brand Hermès rose 1.92%.

Driven by the good news, Germany's Frankfurt stock market DAX index and the London stock market's "Financial Times" 100 stock average price index also rose that day.

The CAC40 index was established in 1987. It is a stock quotation index of the top 40 companies by market capitalization on the Paris Stock Exchange, reflecting the price fluctuations of the French securities market.
