The Government will have Budgets for 2024. Despite the fact that the PP makes use of its majority and rejects the deficit objectives in the Senate for the second time, as it has already confirmed that it will do today, and in the middle of the Koldo case.

This is what the first vice president of the Government and Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, has advanced in the upper house, who has even issued a warning to the Popular Party: "

This legislature is going to be very long

."

To do this, Montero has an opinion from the State Attorney's Office, which is expected to finally be known this Wednesday, and through which the Treasury will be able to prepare the Budgets with the deficit path that was reflected in the Stability Program that the last spring.

According to these objectives, the communities will have one tenth less spending.

"With the vote of the Popular Party they will be able to

spend 5,000 million euros less

, simply because of a scorched earth policy," said Montero, who has used this warning on numerous occasions in recent months.

But the PP has not changed its opinion and, in fact, in Genoa they have clearly indicated that they doubt that the ruling really exists.

And what will not prevent the Budgets from being approved, according to Montero's words, is the aforementioned Koldo case.

The Executive completely rules out that the corruption plot that affects even members of the Government itself is going to pose a difficulty in the approval of the accounts, that any of the parties that gave them their support in the motion of censure against Mariano Rajoy for the cases of corruption now do the same to punish these behaviors in the socialist ranks.

What's more, what the Government is sure of is that moving forward with the accounts, the debates that occur around them and the social announcements that they will allow will be very useful

in trying to remove the focus of the plot

.

"I want to make it very clear in this forum that the Government is going

to present its Budget project for 2024 and will send it to the Cortes Generales

," Montero insisted.

The PP warns Montero that "no means no"

Eva Ortiz, senator of the PP, has warned the first vice president and Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, that "no means no" and criticized that the Government is once again presenting the same path of deficit and public debt that already ended in the Senate, since it said that the minister "should present a new agreement."

He explained this during his speech in the Senate Plenary Session, in the debate regarding the budget stability objectives, which are the previous step to the preparation of the General State Budgets (PGE) for 2024. The Rebalancing Plan was also debated and, at the end of the session, both points will be voted on.

"What part of no have you not understood?" Ortiz asked Montero, after reinforcing that "no is no."

"This House has already said no once to your stability objectives," he added.
