Listening to the flowing water on the ancient bridge, strolling along the ancient alleys, admiring the village scenery from the window... amid the clouds, tourists can "steal half a day's leisure" in Guifeng Village, Youxi County, Sanming City, Fujian Province.

Guifeng Village was built during the Chunyou period of the Southern Song Dynasty. It has 39 ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, including Cai's ancestral temple, Cai's ancestral hall, Shishi House, Louping Hall and other typical ancient buildings. It is one of the ancient villages with the most complete preservation of ancient buildings in Fujian Province.

The village has been rated as a "Chinese Historical and Cultural Village" and "National Ecological Village". It is a national 4A tourist attraction, the first batch of national rural tourism key villages, and the first batch of "Gold Medal Tourism Villages" in Fujian Province.

In Guifeng Village, ancient dwellings are lined up against the mountains in a well-proportioned manner.

"The dew of Jianjia is cold all over Fangzhou, and the wild geese are flowing silently in the stream. I lean on the west bank of Chai Bridge and look out, and see the half-round autumn leaves outside the red maple forest." As early as the Qianlong period, Jiao Changfa, the magistrate of Youxi County, was deeply impressed by Guifeng.

At that time, Guifeng was a necessary place for Youxi and mainland dignitaries, merchants, hawkers and stern workers to travel to and from Fuzhou, as well as a transit place for food and accommodation. It was known as "Little Fuzhou".

The artistic conception of Jiao Changfa's poem is far-reaching, but Guifeng is a bit lonely when he writes it.

Today, Guifeng Village has become a check-in point for many tourists.

Cai Huari, secretary of the Party branch of Guifeng Village, told reporters that the passenger flow here during the Spring Festival holiday this year reached more than 40,000, and the ticket revenue was nearly 300,000 yuan (RMB, the same below).

In recent years, Guifeng Village has insisted on paying equal attention to protection and development. Through cultural reconstruction, tourism development, and urban-rural interaction, combined with cultural revitalization, all-region tourism, and beautiful rural construction, it has enriched rural business formats, promoted organic integration of industries, and formed multiple points into lines. , string beads into a chain, and explore rural paths for the deep integration and development of culture and tourism.

"Nowadays, hard-covered wine that is 3 to 5 years old sells for 58 yuan per catty (500 grams). Even if it is sold in bulk, it can sell for 30 yuan per catty. In the best year, it sold more than 30,000 catties." Villager Cai Wenming is Gui Wenming The 31st generation inheritor of Feng rice wine brewing technology.

With the increasing number of tourists visiting Guifeng in recent years, the sales of rice wine produced by Cai Wenming have been soaring. His five homestays are often in short supply during holidays.

In Cai Wenming's small shop, you can not only taste the color, aroma and taste of representative items of provincial intangible cultural heritage, but also listen to the owner's introduction to the brewing process.

Cai Wenming said that his farm has obtained relevant business licenses and qualification certificates and is ready to sell online at any time, so that more customers from far away can taste the rice wine here.

Chen Meirong, a post-80s generation, is a guest from afar. An accidental tour made her fall in love with the ancient houses here.

As the manager of the teahouse, she signed a 10-year lease agreement with Guifeng Village in September 2022, investing 650,000 yuan to repair the courtyard, improve facilities, decorate the B&B, and create the "Caixiang Teahouse".

At the same time, 18 acres of land were leased from the village, and after reclamation, rice and corn were planted, and a bumper harvest was achieved last year.

Cai Huari introduced that the local government is exploring a management model that takes the leadership of towns and villages, the participation of the masses, and the contribution of enterprises, and implements the "two-leisure reform."

Utilize the resources of idle land and ancient houses, introduce operating entities, transfer farmland and houses of farmers in a unified manner, integrate and package them, and complete projects such as Caixiang Tea Cultural Center, Guifeng Rose Planting Industrial Park, B&B expansion, and research base.

At present, 21 houses and about 280 acres of farmland have been transferred, increasing village income by about 250,000 yuan.

In Chen Meirong's teahouse, the simple tea table complements the wooden pillars and earthen walls. The exquisite tea sets on the table and the ink paintings on the wall reflect the elegant atmosphere here.

"The tea house was put into trial operation in July last year. Currently, it mainly holds various cultural exchange gatherings, regularly performs tea-ordering performances from the Song Dynasty, and provides tourists with free rest, tea and other services." Chen Meirong is very optimistic about the prospects of the tea house and will continue to do so in the future. Study tours will be developed and integrated into the Guifeng Village study and education base.

Currently, there are 13 B&Bs in Guifeng Village with more than 200 beds and 12 restaurants.

It has planned to form the Youxi Northeast Tourism Belt that “appreciates Guifeng culture, sees ecological landscapes, appreciates thousand-year-old houses, views green agriculture, and tastes health and wellness delicacies.”

In 2023, the number of tourists in Guifeng Village will reach 270,000, and the comprehensive tourism revenue will be 110 million yuan.
