Dai Jun, deputy director of the Operations Monitoring Center of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, said that in terms of flights between China and the United States, starting from March 31, Chinese and American airlines can operate a total of 100 scheduled passenger flights per week.

  Dai Jun introduced that since the Spring Festival, my country's international scheduled passenger flights have steadily resumed. Among them, since the Spring Festival, from February 12 to 18, Chinese and foreign airlines have operated 5,389 international scheduled passenger flights (each round trip is counted as 1 flight), returning to Before the epidemic, 70.7%, flights involving “Belt and Road” countries accounted for 74.2%.

  Currently, scheduled international passenger flights operate in 64 countries, including 48 “Belt and Road” countries, accounting for 75%.

Flight volumes from 22 countries including Singapore, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Italy, New Zealand, Turkey, Qatar, Egypt and Bangladesh have exceeded pre-epidemic levels, and 5 new countries have been added to the list: Kuwait, Luxembourg, Tanzania, Serbia and Papua New Guinea.

In terms of flights between China and the United States, starting from March 31, Chinese and American airlines can operate a total of 100 scheduled passenger flights per week.

  Dai Jun said that in the next step, the Civil Aviation Administration will continue to increase the supply of resources, further optimize the approval process, support Chinese and foreign airlines to increase capacity investment in a timely manner according to market demand, continue to ensure and monitor the implementation of airlines' international routes, and continue to promote international flights. Flights have resumed to better meet the needs of personnel exchanges.
