China News Service, Beijing, February 19th: China's large amphibious aircraft "Kunlong" AG600M completed its high-cold test flight mission

  Sino-Singapore Finance reporter Ruan Yulin

The reporter learned from the Aviation Industry Corporation of China that the large-scale amphibious aircraft "Kunlong" AG600M independently developed by my country recently completed its last high-cold test flight mission in Hailar. Its power plant system, fuel system, hydraulic system, flight control system, Key systems such as the avionics system and landing gear system have passed high-cold ground tests and flight test verifications, and can meet the needs of forestry, firefighting, search, rescue and other fields throughout my country.

It is reported that two "Kunlong" AG600M (1003 and 1005) successively transferred to Inner Mongolia Hailar Dongshan Airport after a long journey of more than 2,200 kilometers for nearly 6 hours on January 22 and 30 to start the low-temperature environment related Verification tasks. This is also the transition mission with the longest distance and the most complex route environment that the AG600M has performed since its first flight.

The Hailar high-cold special flight test verification lasted for about 2 weeks. The AG600M successively completed the functional performance test of each system of the entire aircraft under the conditions of minus 20 ℃ to minus 40 ℃, verifying the aircraft's low temperature, defrosting, snow removal and other maintenance procedures, which is suitable for the aircraft. It has laid a solid foundation for aviation certification and subsequent use and maintenance in low-temperature environments.

It is understood that the development work of the AG600M fire-fighting aircraft has fully entered the critical stage of airworthiness compliance verification, and it is planned to obtain the type certificate in 2024. Since New Year's Day this year, the entire project development line has been sprinting at the beginning of the year, and the airworthiness compliance test and flight tasks have been accelerated across the country.

In the future, the development team will accelerate the project development process and strive to put the AG600M into use as soon as possible to contribute aviation power to the construction of my country's emergency rescue system and national natural disaster prevention and control system. (over)
