Gaza Strip: doctors from around the world gathered in Jordan to help the injured
Around a hundred doctors from the four corners of the globe, the United States, Australia, the Sultanate of Oman and the United Kingdom, were invited to Jordan to reflect on solutions to the health issue in the besieged Gaza Strip. All gathered at an international conference in Amman to express solidarity with their colleagues currently present in the enclave and to reflect on what comes next.

Among the other speakers, several Gazan caregivers via video. Inès Al-halawi, a Palestinian doctor, would like to go to the enclave as soon as possible: “
My friend is a doctor in Gaza. She has to care for more than 4,000 injured people. Currently, there are no solutions there, medical aid, equipment and medicines only arrive with great difficulty. As a Palestinian doctor, obviously I would like to be able to go to the enclave to do my job before any other foreign doctor.

The president of the Doctors' Union of the Sultanate of Oman proposed to consider the evacuation of children, while announcing that doctors from his country were ready to go to Gaza as soon as a ceasefire was formalized .
