According to him, the economic recovery of the European Union is much slower than expected.

“We barely avoided a recession in the fourth quarter. Following a strong recovery from the [coronavirus] pandemic, the European economy barely expanded in 2023: growth in the EU and eurozone is estimated at 0.5%, which is even slightly lower than in our autumn forecast,” TASS quotes him.
