Izvestia writes about this with reference to statistics from the financial marketplace Compare.

It is noted that as of November and December 2023, financial institutions rejected almost two-thirds of all applications for unsecured loans (56%).

As specified, this is due to the fact that in the fourth quarter of last year new Central Bank restrictions on issuing loans to clients with a high debt burden came into force.

It was previously reported that the number of financial pyramids and illegal financial service providers in Russia increased by 15.5% over the year. As the press service of the Central Bank reported, in 2023, more than 5.7 thousand fraudulent projects and illegal lenders were identified.
