The China-Vietnam Railway Port is the only meter-gauge railway transportation channel in China and the longest cross-border transportation artery between China and Vietnam. As the port for cross-border transportation between China and Vietnam, railway inbound and outbound cargo needs to be centralized and diverted at the mountainside border station. The transportation efficiency of the station directly determines the transport capacity of this port.

Since the beginning of the year, the Kaiyuan depot of China Railway Kunming Bureau Group has combined market demand and organized through-vehicle sulfur shipments. It has also increased the organization of dry bulk and open-top container sulfur shipments, and contacted Vietnam Railways to invest in an additional 30 flatbed trucks. , providing vehicles and transportation capacity for container sulfur transportation; a large number of empty gondolas and empty containers were organized to pick up and transport sulfur in Haiphong, Vietnam. China and Vietnam cooperated with each other, effectively promoting the growth of imported sulfur shipments; jointly establishing cooperation with port and border defense units to achieve Inbound and outbound train employees share arrival information in real time, scientifically adjust their duties, and achieve zero waiting for entry and exit procedures at the station, and zero delay in release after arrival at the station after inspection.

At the same time, compared with the same period in 2023, the China-Vietnam Railway Port has added two bulk transportation categories: coke outbound and iron ore inbound, further increasing the railway port transportation volume since the beginning of the year. Currently, the Shanshan Border Station operates three pairs of international trains every day, providing sufficient transportation capacity for the production needs of enterprises in both countries.

As of January 31, the China-Vietnam Railway Port has transported a total of 34,900 tons of cargo, including 75 inbound trains with 31,200 tons and 76 outbound trains with 3,739 tons; the meter-gauge railway has become a cross-border, cross-border and intercontinental transportation channel between China and Southeast Asia. It is one of the most convenient channels for interconnection between countries. (over)
