The SMB, measured in private companies (excluding agriculture) with 10 employees or more, represents the gross salary, that is to say before the deduction of social contributions and the payment of social benefits. It does not take into account bonuses or overtime.

The workers are doing well

According to data from Dares (Research Directorate of the Ministry of Labor) published on Friday, the SMB increased by 0.3% during the last three months of 2023. The index of the basic hourly wage of workers and employees (SHBOE) in companies with 10 or more employees in the private sector excluding agriculture, individual employers and extraterritorial activities, increased by 0.4% during the fourth quarter of 2023.
