The voluntary adhesion period for Telefónica's ERE has ended and the company has received more applications than planned departures, so it will not be necessary to undertake forced dismissals.

As reported by the UGT union, the company detailed to them this Friday that

a total of 3,640 requests

for voluntary adhesion to the collective dismissal process have been received. "This shows that the exit conditions achieved during the negotiation by UGT have been the most beneficial to date, an issue widely supported by the staff after the closing of the application period yesterday," the union congratulates itself.

The secondment exceeds the number of departures proposed by the company, reaching 106.4% of voluntary requests, so Telefónica will not have to carry out forced departures.

"Regarding the applications received in the areas considered not surplus, they will be accepted until the percentages marked in the agreement are covered, which means that 247 applications will be denied as those that exceed the agreed 35%. In total, they will be accepted 2946 applications in TdE, 391 in TME and 56 in TSOL", explains the union.
