An order for 103 new metro trains, intended for the Paris metro, has been placed with Alstom, Île-de-France Mobilités announced this Wednesday. Valued at nearly 1.1 billion current euros excluding taxes, this order aims to enable the company to secure its supply chains.

Île-de-France Mobilités announced on Wednesday the order for 103 new metro trains from Alstom, intended for the Paris metro, for an amount “estimated at nearly 1.1 billion current euros excluding taxes”.

“This new order aims to enable Alstom to secure its supply chains while adapting to the progress of the necessary infrastructure work,” specifies the regional transport authority in a press release. These trains will be destined for lines 8, 12 and 13 of the Paris metro.
