Canceled, canceled, canceled – once again a strike is paralyzing operations at many German airports. Lufthansa ground staff stopped work on Wednesday, like here in Hamburg. The airline reports that around ten to 20 percent of flights should still be possible.

Passengers were asked to only come to the airport if their flight was not canceled.

»It's not so nice for a lot of passengers who just can't get away. And it's always annoying. «

»I'm starting to think it's a bit exaggerated. Sometimes we have to strike, but lately it's all too much. It first started with the bus, with the trains, and now again with the airport. Soon you won't even dare to travel anymore. So fears are starting to arise as to whether you can book something or not.«

"Personally, I think the strike is getting out of hand because, in my personal opinion, the demands are simply outrageous."

»We can't do anything about it. And yes, I can understand it, but I'm from one area. There has never been a strike for me. Sale. Now the fun is over.”

The Verdi service union is demanding 12.5 percent more salaries for ground staff and compensation for inflation. More than 100,000 passengers affected. Unlike the last GDL strike, this time it will at least be over after a day.
