“Last year, more people came into contact with cybercriminals, with one in ten victims. As a rule, the amount of loss was less than 20 thousand rubles,” notes the Central Bank.

It is clarified that, as a rule, the victims provided the scammers with card details and codes from SMS or transferred money to them themselves.

Approximately a third of victims of fraudulent actions involving the theft of money filed a complaint with their bank.
