Kotoden Bus, which operates route buses in Takamatsu City and other areas, will reorganize its bus routes due to a shortage of drivers, and will reduce the number of buses from now on all routes except for the Machinaka Loop Bus, Airport Limousine Bus, and Airport Street Line. There are a total of 16 routes and 24 systems.

Kotoden Bus announced on the 5th that it would be reorganizing its bus routes, as it would be extremely difficult to maintain the current number of buses due to a serious shortage of drivers in addition to a decrease in the number of users.

According to this, 176 flights will be reduced on weekdays and 153 flights on holidays, resulting in a reduction rate of 25.1% on weekdays and 26.4% on holidays.

The reduced flights include routes that pass through Takamatsu City's commercial facility "Youme Town Takamatsu" and routes heading to Shione Town, as well as all routes except the Machinaka Loop Bus, Airport Limousine Bus, and the Airport Street Line, for a total of 16 routes. There are 24 systems.

Additionally, two systems will be abolished: the Asahicho Line, which runs through Prefectural Central Hospital, and the Aeon Takamatsu Line, which runs through Baba Hospital, etc.

On the other hand, a new line will be established that will connect Kotoden Fushiishi Station with University Hospital and Kotoden Takada Station.

Kotoden Bus said, ``As it became difficult to maintain the current number of buses, we considered new routes and the number of buses to be operated depending on usage conditions.''

The new timetable after route reorganization will be implemented from the 1st of next month at the earliest.
