There are many export-oriented enterprises in Shanghai, and the demand for green electricity has been growing exponentially in recent years. However, due to the limited local new energy endowment, green electricity needs to be purchased from many provinces outside the city. In this annual inter-provincial green electricity trade, Shanghai took the lead in carrying out multi-year green electricity transactions with the four provinces of Ningxia, Gansu, Qinghai, and Shanxi. It is estimated that the total green electricity transaction volume from 2024 to 2026 will be nearly 10 billion kilowatt hours, with hundreds of transactions completed. Pen, showing the characteristics of multiple green power sources, large scale and long cycle, provides a solid guarantee to meet the low-carbon transformation requirements and green power purchase needs of various enterprises in Shanghai in the coming years.

Relying on an intergovernmental agreement, it reached a centralized green electricity transaction of 1.471 billion kilowatt hours with Xinjiang, and the electricity volume sold reached 1.8% of the total electricity that Xinjiang will send to Shanghai in 2023. times.
