Among them, "China Mobile 01 Star" is equipped with a satellite base station that supports 5G space-to-ground integration evolution technology, and is the world's first on-board signal processing test satellite that can verify 5G space-to-ground integration evolution technology; "'Star Core' Verification Satellite" is equipped with the industry's first It is a satellite-borne core network system designed with 6G concepts and equipped with on-orbit business capabilities. It is the world's first 6G architecture verification satellite.

Gao Tongqing, deputy general manager of China Mobile, said that this dual-star test system is the world's first space-ground integrated on-board processing verification system for 5G evolution and 6G. It is an important breakthrough for China Mobile to promote the development of space-ground integration.

"China Mobile 01 Star" was jointly developed by China Mobile and Star Mobile Lianxin. The satellite base station carried by the satellite adopts lightweight, localized, and green hardware design concepts and high-real-time, highly flexible, and highly reliable software design concepts. , has two major innovative technologies: one is software reconstruction and resource pooling technology, which adapts to the evolving world-ground integration technology; the other is high-reliability algorithm and industrial-grade device fusion technology, which is adaptable to complex problems such as particle irradiation, ionization, and vacuum. Space environment while taking into account performance and cost.

The "'Star Core' Verification Satellite" is equipped with the "Star Core" system of the spaceborne core network for 6G distributed autonomous architecture. It was jointly developed by China Mobile and the Micro Satellite Innovation Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It uses domestically produced software and hardware and supports on-orbit software. Reconstruction, flexible deployment and autonomous management of core network functions will further improve the efficiency and reliability of on-orbit operation of the spaceborne core network. According to China Mobile, this is also another milestone achievement in 6G development after the "three-body, four-layer and five-sided" network architecture.

According to reports, the orbital altitude of the test satellite is about 500 kilometers. Compared with high-orbit satellites with a distance of 36,000 kilometers, low-orbit satellites have obvious advantages such as low latency and high data transmission rates, and are an important platform for carrying the future integrated space and ground network. Satellite networks based on large-scale low-orbit constellations and ground mobile systems together form a space-ground integrated network, which can make up for the lack of coverage of ground mobile networks, provide higher-bandwidth satellite Internet services, and further extend ground mobile networks to remote areas on land, oceans, aviation, etc. The three-dimensional space is extended to provide consumers and industries with globally connected ubiquitous mobile services and new integrated services. China Mobile will carry out in-orbit tests based on test satellites to accelerate the in-depth development of the integration of satellite and ground technology industries. (over)
