According to the website of the National Development and Reform Commission, recently, the National Development and Reform Commission has focused on ensuring the supply and stable prices of important livelihood commodities, organizing experts and industry associations to conduct in-depth analysis of grains, oils, meat, eggs, milk, fruits, vegetables, etc. in 2024, especially during the Spring Festival. The supply and demand situation of various varieties; strengthen the dynamic monitoring and situation analysis of market prices of key varieties in various regions; convene a meeting with relevant departments to study the work of ensuring supply and stabilizing prices during the Spring Festival.

　　At the same time, the National Development and Reform Commission has deployed all localities to ensure the smooth operation of market supply and prices during the Spring Festival and create a good price environment for the people to celebrate the Spring Festival. The first is to strengthen the organization of supply sources, requiring all localities to carefully study and judge the trends in people flow, logistics, and weather changes during the holidays, and conduct a good analysis of consumer demand; give full play to the role of key enterprises such as agricultural product wholesale markets and large supermarkets, connect production and sales, and prepare sufficient supplies in advance; Areas that may be affected by rain and snow will further increase stocking efforts to ensure smooth logistics. The second is to carry out reserve placement and affordable sales. According to the needs of the market situation, small packages of grain, oil, pork, vegetables and other reserves will be released when necessary. We will also launch affordable sales of important people's livelihood commodities according to local conditions to guide prices to remain at a reasonable level. The third is to do a good job in terminal supply, requiring key supermarkets to distribute goods on the shelves in a timely manner according to changes in demand; rationally allocate distribution personnel to smooth the "last mile". There is a solid foundation for ensuring supply and stable prices during the Spring Festival. From the perspective of grain and oil, grain production has achieved another bumper harvest. The output has remained above 1.3 trillion catties for nine consecutive years. The finished grain and oil reserves in 36 large and medium-sized cities can meet consumption for more than 15 days. In terms of meat, eggs and vegetables, there is ample production capacity for pork and eggs, and the vegetable field area has increased steadily year-on-year. The winter and spring vegetable reserves in major northern cities can meet consumption for more than 7 days.
