The American army announced on Wednesday January 31 a series of military operations against the Houthi rebels in Yemen, claiming to have destroyed more than a dozen attack drones as well as a ground command post during strikes in Yemen, belonging to Houthi rebels close to Iran.
These drones “
posed an imminent threat to US merchant ships and military vessels in the region
,” the US Middle East Military Command (Centcom) said in a statement.

The United States announced on Friday, January 26, that it would suspend all future funding to the UN agency for Palestinian refugees. On Saturday, several countries followed – the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Finland – joined the United States, Australia and Canada. Jordan has the largest quota of Palestinian refugees registered with UNRWA. The agency is now in danger.
