In Kerem Shalom, these Israelis who are outraged against the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza

For a week, Israeli demonstrators, many from far-right circles, have gathered at Kerem Shalom. It is through this crossing point between Israel and Gaza that humanitarian aid enters the Palestinian enclave. These activists are trying to block the passage of trucks loaded with food. Clashes with the Israeli police break out regularly.

With our special correspondent in Kerem Shalom,

Sami Boukhelifa

“

Busha!”

 ", "

shame !

“, chant the demonstrators as each truck loaded with bags of flour passes by, crossing the border to enter Gaza.

For Galit, “

Gazans deserve no help

 ”. “

In the videos that the army shows us, in the stories of our soldiers who were in Gaza and who returned, they tell us that there is not a house, not a kindergarten, not a school, not a hospital in Gaza, where there are no weapons, where there is no propaganda material against Israel and the Jews. Most people there support Hamas

 ,” he considers.

Confined behind metal barriers, the activists try to force their way to cut off the trucks' route. Clashes with the police break out.

According to David, “

to defeat your enemy, you must weaken him

 .” “

As long as these people are healthy, as long as they receive food, water and health care, they will continue to fight. But if we deprive them of everything, we will manage to stop the war

 ,” he says.

In the crowd: young people in knitted yarmulkes, typical of religious, radical nationalist circles. But also more moderate protesters like Rachel.

“

Our goal is not to starve the Gazan population, people who are not involved,”

she assures.

We must find another system to ensure that the Gazan population actually receives this aid. But don't let it be resold! Because Hamas is currently selling this aid back to them.

» “

We must also ensure that the aid also reaches our hostages

,” insists the young woman. “

But to date,”

she concludes,

“we have no proof of this.
