“They have already signed an agreement to join the Bank of Russia’s digital ruble platform and are now setting up their systems to enter the pilot when it is expanded,” the regulator said in a statement.

Among them are Tinkoff Bank, Sberbank of Russia, Rosselkhozbank and other credit organizations.

At the moment, 13 banks and about 600 citizens are participating in testing operations.

Earlier, First Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia Olga Skorobogatova said that in 2024, about 30 Russian banks will be involved in piloting the digital ruble.
