Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. is urgently coordinating with parts manufacturers to resume production after the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism lifted its order to suspend shipments of 10 models, including its main models, on the 30th due to fraud in obtaining national certification. It's a policy.

Daihatsu Motor Corporation has suspended operations at its four automobile factories in Japan since late last month due to issues with fraudulent acquisition of national certification.

Under these circumstances, on the 30th, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism ordered the suspension of shipments of a total of 10 vehicle models, including

the main commercial vehicle "Hijet" and the

light passenger vehicle "Mira eS", as compliance with the standards was confirmed. has been canceled.

The 10 target vehicle models account for approximately 30% of Daihatsu's domestic production last fiscal year, and are all produced at Daihatsu Kyushu's Oita Plant, a subsidiary.

Daihatsu has been aiming to resume production in the middle of next month for the two commercial vehicle models whose compliance with the standards was confirmed on the 19th of this month.

Now that the order to suspend shipments of 10 new vehicle models has been lifted, the company plans to quickly coordinate with parts manufacturers to resume production.

Amid concerns about the long-term impact on the regional economy, which has many business partners such as subcontractors, the focus is on whether this will lead to an early resumption of operations.
