Representatives of the Japan-China Economic Association delegation, who visited China for the first time in about four years, held a series of talks with the Chinese side that served as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation in the economic field and resolve issues between the two countries. He emphasized the significance of the visit.

During their stay, a delegation from the Japan-China Economic Association, which is visiting Beijing and includes representatives from the Japanese business community, met with Prime Minister Li Qiang and discussed China's suspension of imports of Japanese seafood and implementation of the revised anti-espionage law. In addition to exchanging opinions on issues such as these, in a meeting with government officials in charge of the economy, both countries agreed to strengthen cooperation toward decarbonization, which is a common issue for both countries.

Following a series of meetings, representatives of the visiting delegation held a press conference on the evening of the 25th, and Keidanren Chairman Tokura said, ``I could feel the Chinese side's expectations for Japan and their enthusiasm for further strengthening Japan-China economic relations.'' ” he said.



He then emphasized the significance of his visit, saying, ``It's not a simple problem that can be solved on the spot, but I think that this kind of exchange of opinions will serve as an opportunity to gradually move towards a solution.''
