The investiture agreement between the PSOE and ERC includes a cancellation of 15,000 million euros of debt to Catalonia. This is 20% of all the liabilities that the Catalan region accumulates through the Regional Liquidity Fund (FLA), and according to the Government, it will be a measure that other regions can take advantage of.

The Treasury explains that, technically, what will be done in the event that Pedro Sánchez's investiture prospers will be for the State to assume the part of regional debt derived from the downward cycle of the previous financial crisis, which in turn led to an increase in deficit and debt.
