Russian leader Vladimir Putin noted earlier that Russia was able to compensate for the closure of Western markets for it and expanded trade contacts with states in fast-growing regions of the world.

The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, then said that the European Union needed to take action against India for selling Russian oil.

At the same time, Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said that Russian oil is processed in third countries and, as a result of these manipulations, ceases to be considered as a Russian product.
