"I will not oppose good relations with Moscow, on the contrary ... However, I oppose Turkey's dependence on Russia in terms of energy," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

According to Kılıçdaroğlu, such dependence will be extremely dangerous and will create big problems for Turkey. He estimated Ankara's current dependence on Moscow in the energy sector at 30-40%.

"With the creation of the hub, dependence will increase to 70-80%. This is capitulation! We will lose!" he added.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, during a press conference with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu, said that Moscow and Ankara are unanimous in the opinion that the unstable geopolitical situation confirms the need to create a gas hub.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Black Sea natural gas will cover 30% of the country's needs.
