Chongqing, May 5 (ZXS) -- The second China (Chongqing) Cross-border E-commerce Development Summit Forum was held locally on the 18th in a combination of online and offline mode, and envoys from many countries participated in the meeting to find investment opportunities and discuss the development trend of the cross-border e-commerce industry.

Guo Tingting, vice minister of China's Ministry of Commerce, said in her speech that in recent years, China's cross-border e-commerce has maintained a rapid development momentum, with an increase of nearly 5 times in five years, and has become the world's largest e-commerce trading market. In 10, China's cross-border e-commerce imports and exports will be 2022.2 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.9%. The Ministry of Commerce will, as always, support the western region to vigorously develop cross-border e-commerce, strive to introduce more pragmatic measures in terms of international payment and settlement, smooth international logistics, and innovative financial products, and support the central and western regions to improve the level of open economy.

"We look forward to more investment and cooperation with China." Ecuador's Ambassador to China, Carlos Larea, said that Ecuador is planning a large-scale digital transformation, and the development of e-commerce and business cooperation opportunities in China will promote Ecuador's rapid development in corresponding fields, benefiting both small and medium-sized enterprises and consumers. He said the country will strive to create a transparent and fair business environment and make international investment smoother.

Guyana's ambassador to China, Zhou Yaxin, said that Guyana is very concerned about how local micro, small and medium-sized enterprises can ride the east wind of e-commerce. Although Guyana does not yet have established global e-commerce companies, there are start-ups that have succeeded in the food retail and healthcare industries. More and more Guyanese residents are sourcing Chinese products through e-commerce platforms such as Alibaba and Taobao. We look forward to more Chinese companies exploring e-commerce opportunities in Guyana.

"We have recognized the transformative power of digital technology and the tremendous opportunities it presents for economic growth and expanded trade." Peruvian Ambassador to China Balarezo said that the Peruvian government has taken positive measures to create a favorable environment for the development of e-commerce, including implementing supportive policies, developing infrastructure, and cultivating digital finance. We look forward to working with Chinese enterprises to bring Peruvian coffee, wool and other products into more Chinese households through e-commerce. (End)
