This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev.

"Naturally, the perpetrator of harm in the broad sense of the word should be responsible: either a country, or a group of persons, or someone else," he said in an interview with leading Russian media, including RIA Novosti.

Medvedev noted that in reality, the population of the European Union pays for sabotage.

"They have already received expensive bills for electricity, for gas, expensive cucumbers, expensive tomatoes, the closure of a number of industries, unprofitable chemicals and so on," Medvedev explained.

On March 21, Russia and China called for an objective, unbiased, professional investigation into pipeline explosions.

Seymour Hersh, who previously published an investigation into the involvement of the White House in the sabotage of Nord Streams, said that US President Joe Biden would not have the courage and honesty to admit that his administration and he himself were involved in the explosion.
