"Chinese yuan, first of all, allows Russia to achieve less dependence on US and European sanctions, as the use of the currencies of these countries and territories decreases, while trade in China expands. Secondly, if we talk about the use of the yuan as a means of payment with the regions of Asia and Africa, we are talking about strategic development, "the analyst explained.

According to Ramaninov, the regions of Asia and Africa are "a giant potential market of more than 6 billion citizens."

"The use of the Chinese yuan, the currency of the second economy of the world, will allow Russia to increase economic ties with other regions, in a different paradigm, where there is no such primacy of US and EU policy," he concluded.

Earlier, Putin said that Russia supports the use of Chinese yuan in settlements when trading with countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

In addition, the Russian leader expressed confidence that such forms of payments will develop between Russian entrepreneurs and their colleagues in third countries.
