Russia cut gas exports to Europe by 80% in eight months, von der Leyen said.
In mid-February, European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson wrote on her social networks that the European Union had stopped buying Russian coal and reduced oil imports from Russia by 90%.
In addition, she noted that gas supplies through pipelines have significantly decreased.
