Kentucky Fried Chicken, a major fast food chain, has decided to raise the price of about 90% of the products sold at stores from the 8th of this month due to soaring raw material prices.

Prices will be raised from the 8th of this month for products sold at stores nationwide and at home delivery services.

Of these, the store price including tax will be raised

from 260 yen to 290 yen for the main original chicken, and

▽ Kernel crispy

will be raised from 240 yen to 270 yen, both of which will continue to be raised in July last year.

According to the company, the rate of increase, including tax,

is about 1% to 19% for sales at stores, and

about 5% to 24% for home delivery sales.

The chain's operating company, Japan Kentucky Fried Chicken, said the reason for the price hike was the rising cost of raw materials such as flour and edible oil, logistics costs, and energy costs.
