First stone in Trujillo of the factory that will create synthetic diamonds with hydrogen and solar energy

The American multinational

, in which the actor Leonardo DiCaprio participates as a shareholder, predicts that the works of the synthetic diamond factory that it is going to build in Trujillo (Cáceres) -the first of its kind in Europe- will be ready for operation in less than two years.

The plant, which has an investment of 700 million euros in an area of ​​almost 84,000 square meters, will generate some 300 direct jobs and will manufacture diamonds using the chemical vapor deposition method.

with the objective, in addition to producing artificial diamonds for the jewelry sector, of giving them an industrial aspect.

It is about the manufacture of semiconductors for the electric vehicle industry, together with new applications for 5G and 6G communication networks, computer industries or the development of artificial intelligence.

While the obtaining of European funds for the project is closed, from the technical point of view the first step is the design of eight generations of plasma reactors, which are what allow the creation of the necessary environmental conditions for the manufacture of synthetic diamonds.

It will be located eight kilometers from the central plant and will be managed by the company Kishoa Powen Energía Renovables, headed by Rafael Benjumea.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
