The G20 = meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors of 20 major countries held in Bengaluru, southern India, closed on the night of the 25th, Japan time, after two days of discussions.

Conflicts continued between Western countries and Russia over Russia's invasion of Ukraine and its impact on the world economy, and a joint statement was not compiled as a result of the discussions.

The G20 meeting ended around 9:00 p.m. Japan time, and India, the chair of the G20, announced the details of the discussions in the form of the Chair's Summary, but a joint statement was not compiled as the outcome of the discussions.

At this conference, Indian Prime Minister Modi sent a message to the opening of the conference, avoiding direct mention of Russia's military aggression, and other measures to show consideration for the Russian side. and argued that the statement should include language that strongly condemns Russia.

Many participating countries strongly condemned the invasion of Ukraine at the conference, but there were conflicts of opinion between Western countries and Russia and China.

This is the fourth time in a row that the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting did not reach a joint statement since the meeting last April.

The conference, which took place a year after the invasion of Ukraine, failed to show a coherent response to the challenges of the global economy.
