On February 17, the CEPA (Central Processing Platform) block of the Phase I development project of the Bozhong 19-6 condensate gas field of the Bohai Oilfield completed the capping work at the Qingdao construction site of Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. Significant progress has been made in the land construction of the upper platform of the first 100 billion-square-meter large gas field in Bohai Bay, laying a solid foundation for the gas field to be completed and put into production on schedule.

The Bozhong 19-6 condensate gas field is located in the central part of the Bohai Sea. It is the first large-scale, self-contained, high-yield, and ultra-high condensate oil-containing 100 billion cubic meter condensate gas field in eastern China.

The Phase I development project has been listed as a key project for the construction of the national natural gas production, supply, storage and sales system.

The CEPA block that was capped that day is the largest block of the development project, with a floating weight of more than 13,000 tons, which is the weight of nearly two steel structures of the Eiffel Tower in France. After completion, it will undertake the preliminary treatment of natural gas, condensate and other products and gathering tasks.

The CEPA block will start construction in Qingdao in May 2022. The upper part is equipped with multiple natural gas and condensate oil processing devices, including two sets of natural gas deep dehydration devices independently designed and skidded by CNOOC for the first time - triethylene glycol Dehydration system, the technical level has reached the international leading level.

The project adopts a circular gas injection development plan, designs and lays 53MPa ultra-high pressure natural gas injection subsea pipelines, and adopts a triethylene glycol dehydration system in Bohai oilfields. A number of breakthroughs have filled the "technical gap" in China's domestic offshore oilfield development.
