Putin: those who created problems for the Russian economy did not expect an effective response

Putin noted the inevitability that some industries faced difficulties after the imposition of Western sanctions.

“But, I think, for many, those who tried and are trying to create problems for us, it was unexpected how effectively we counter the threats created for us in the field of the economy and in certain industries,” the head of state stressed.

Earlier, Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko said he was impressed with the results of the Russian economy against the background of pressure exerted on Russia.
