The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry compiled the results of a survey on whether small and medium-sized enterprises are properly conducting price negotiations and passing on prices with their business partners, and two major companies received the lowest evaluation.

By November last year, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry conducted a questionnaire survey of small and medium-sized enterprises about price negotiations and price pass-through with business partners of major companies, and received responses from about 15,000 companies.

Of these, 148 major companies that answered that they had more than 10 small and medium-sized companies as their business partners were scored based on their answers, such as "whether they responded to price negotiations, etc." ranked in stages.

According to it, 8 out of 148 major companies gave an average of 70% or more of the price pass-through, which was the highest evaluation, but on the contrary, "Japan Post" said that the transaction price was reduced. It received the lowest rating.

Regarding price negotiations, the machine manufacturer "Fujikoshi" received the lowest evaluation, saying, "I was afraid of canceling the transaction, so I could not negotiate."

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry wants companies with low ratings to "improve their trading conditions more voluntarily."

On the other hand, Japan Post is said to have reduced transaction prices for small and medium-sized business partners in this survey. is.
