This was stated in an interview with TASS by Deputy Minister of Economic Development Polina Kryuchkova.
“In general, we do not see any grounds for accelerating inflation at the moment,” she said.
It is important that inflation does not fall below 4%, because this will indicate a restructuring of the economy, increased demand, economic activity of people, Klyuchkova explained.
Earlier, the Federal State Statistics Service of Russia said that annual inflation in the country slowed to 11.94% in December.
The inflation rate in Russia from January 24 to January 30 was 0.21%.
