Sechin: The EU has completely lost access to cheap and reliable energy sources from Russia

"Europe has completely lost its main advantage - energy security - access to cheap and reliable Russian energy carriers," TASS quoted him as saying.

Sechin noted that EU countries are now forced to pay three to five times more for gas.

On February 1, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced that the European Union had completely got rid of dependence on Russian fossil fuels.
